Biography

Kenneth B. Ferguson is a Democratic member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing District 64, which includes portions of Jefferson, Lincoln, and Desha Counties. He is serving his 6th term , resides in Pine Bluff with his wife Cassandra, and is the father of four. A retired Baptist, he was born in 1951.

Notable achievements include receiving the Distinguished Legislative Award from the Arkansas Municipal League in 2021. He serves on key committees such as the House Public Health, Welfare, and Labor Committee , House Insurance and Commerce Committee , House Rules Committee, Arkansas Legislative Council, and Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus.

Education and Political Experience

Ferguson earned a Bachelor of Science in social science from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1973. His professional career began with the city of Pine Bluff, followed by roles as executive director of the Arkansas Workforce Board and investment director of the Arkansas Workforce Development Board. He entered politics in 2014, assuming office on January 12, 2015.
