Biography

Ken Buck is a Republican who represented Colorado's 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2015 until his resignation in 2024. Born on February 16, 1959, in Ossining, New York, he is a former lawyer, prosecutor, and chair of the Colorado Republican Party . Notable achievements include overseeing a 50% drop in crime rates as Weld County District Attorney , co-founding the Congressional Antitrust Caucus, and advocating for antitrust actions against Big Tech; he authored books like Drain the Swamp and Crushed: Big Tech's War on Free Speech .

Education

Buck graduated from Princeton University, where he played football for four years, earning All-Ivy League honors as a punter his senior year. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1985.

Political Experience

  • Worked on the Iran-Contra investigation under Congressman Dick Cheney and as a U.S. Department of Justice prosecutor, later becoming Chief of the Criminal Division in the Colorado U.S. Attorney’s Office.
