Biography
Kelly Noonan Murphy is a Democratic state representative for House District 125 in Maine, representing part of Scarborough in Cumberland County. Elected on November 8, 2022, she assumed office on December 7, 2022, and is currently serving her second term in the 132nd Legislature. A Scarborough native, she works as a preschool teacher, specifically a school-based behavioral healthcare professional and 1:1 educational technician in a special education preschool program. She is married to John and has three children. Notable achievements include founding and serving as board president of Scarborough Community Thanksgiving, two terms on the Scarborough Board of Education, volunteering in Scarborough schools, coaching youth sports through Scarborough Community Services, and serving on the steering committee for the Wentworth School Building Project. She holds key leadership positions as Chair of the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee and member of the Bills in the Second Reading Committee.
