Biography
Senator Kelly Hines is a Republican representing Oklahoma Senate District 47 . A retired U.S. Army Colonel with over 34 years of service, he was sworn into the Oklahoma Senate in 2024 after a distinguished military career commanding aviation units, including the 110th Aviation Brigade. Notable achievements include two Legion of Merit Medals, two Bronze Star Medals, and service in elite units like the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. He advocates for border security, tax cuts, reduced regulations to boost businesses and jobs, and supporting Oklahoma's aerospace industry. Currently, he serves as Vice President of Domestic Operations at Aviation Training Consulting in Edmond and is a Senior Adviser at Delaware Resource Group. Married to Shannon for over 30 years, they have two adult children, Alex and Riley.

- Master’s degree in Ancient and Classical History from American Public University.
- Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College .

- Campaign focused on securing borders, economic growth through low taxes and deregulation, strong neighborhoods, and aerospace industry support.
Grew up in Whitesboro, OK; began military service in 1985 with Oklahoma Army National Guard as an Infantryman, commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in Army Aviation in 1992, retired 2019.
