Biography

Keith Kidwell is a Republican representing District 79 in the North Carolina House of Representatives, covering Beaufort, Dare, Hyde, and Pamlico counties. He is currently serving his fourth term as an Enrolled Agent and business executive, previously working as an Independent Agent for Aflac. A resident of Chocowinity, NC, and originally from Passaic, NJ, he is Roman Catholic and known as a civic leader, former Beaufort County GOP Chairman , and 3rd Congressional District 1st Vice Chairman . Notable achievements include coordinating lawsuits against gubernatorial overreach during COVID-19 restrictions, passing legislation reforming emergency powers to ensure clergy access in hospitals, uniting a divided county GOP, and defeating a proposed $30 million jail project. He has received awards such as the 2022 CPAC Award, three American Conservative Union awards, 100% NC Freedom rating from Civitas, perfect score from NC Builders Association, and Jobs Champion from NC Chamber of Commerce.
