Keith Greiner

Keith James Greiner is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 43rd Legislative District in eastern Lancaster County. Born on May 2, 1965, in Upper Leacock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he is a lifelong resident of the region. Greiner is a *certified public accountant * with nearly 25 years of experience in the accounting profession before entering electoral politics.

Education

Greiner graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in 1983. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 1987 and is a life member of the university's alumni association.

Political Experience

Greiner was first elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2012 and has served continuously since 2013. He is currently in his seventh term representing the 43rd District, which comprises the boroughs of Akron, Ephrata, and New Holland, along with the townships of Earl, Ephrata, Leacock, Upper Leacock, and West Earl.

Prior to his state legislative service, Greiner held several local positions. He served as a supervisor for Upper Leacock Township and was elected auditor of Lancaster County. He served as Lancaster County Controller from 2010 to 2012 before his election to the state house.

Notable Achievements and Positions

As a state representative, Greiner has been reappointed as Republican chairman of the House Finance Committee, where he serves as a fiscal watchdog. He has focused on policy areas including job creation, state and municipal pension reform, tax fairness, and government efficiency. A distinguishing aspect of his service is that he does not accept taxpayer-funded per diems, vehicles, meals, or cell phones.

Beyond politics, Greiner has served for nearly 25 years on the board of the Ressler Mill Foundation, where he currently serves as president. He was also a member of the American Business Club of Lancaster for 20 years, supporting individuals with disabilities, and has served in church leadership roles.
