Biography

Keith Denning is a Democrat who represented Connecticut's 42nd district in the Connecticut House of Representatives from January 2023 to January 2025. A retired nurse anesthetist with 39 years of experience, he served on the Transportation, Public Health and Insurance, and Real Estate Committees. Notable achievements include volunteering on global medical missions with Operation Smile and the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, providing free care worldwide, and prior service on Wilton's Zoning Board of Appeals. In January 2024, he announced he would not seek re-election. Born in Indiana to Korean War veteran Ted Denning and Phyllis Denning, he moved to Wilton, Connecticut, with his wife Christine to be near their son, a lawyer in New York City, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Earned a nursing degree from Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne; certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Wake Forest Bowman Gray Medical Center.
