Biography
Keith Boehm is a Republican state senator representing District 33 in the North Dakota Senate, with his residence in Mandan, North Dakota. Born in Bismarck, he has deep roots in the farming community west of Mandan and assumed office on December 1, 2022. He is married to Janelle, with 8 children and 17 grandchildren. Boehm is a farmer/rancher, small business owner/co-operator , and retired in April 2021 after a 42-year career in the power generation industry . An active member of Engage Church in Mandan, he has served in leadership roles and prioritizes limiting property taxes, sustaining the energy industry, and preserving individual rights. Notable positions include supporting House Bill 1254 in April 2023 to ban gender-affirming care for transgender minors.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Mandan High School graduate; attended Bismarck State College .
- Political Experience: Elected to the North Dakota Senate for District 33 in 2022, serving since 2023; actively involved with the local Republican party in his precinct.
