Biography
Keith Bell is a Republican representative for Texas House District 4, which encompasses Kaufman and western Henderson counties, including cities such as Forney, Athens, Kaufman, and Terrell. A lifelong Texan residing in Forney, he was first elected in November 2018 and took office in 2019. Bell is a successful businessman, having worked in the electrical field since 1976, founding Intex Electrical Contractors, Inc. in 1983, where he serves as CEO/President and holds a Master Electrician’s License. He previously served as a Forney ISD School Board trustee for 20 years, elected president 14 times, and was chairman of the Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Advisory Board. Notable positions include Chair of the House General Investigating Committee, and memberships on Environmental Regulation, Trade, Workforce & Economic Development, and its Subcommittee on Workforce. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Baylor Scott & White Hospital-Sunnyvale and emphasizes conservative values like reducing property taxes, protecting property rights, and supporting local public schools.
