Biography

Katrina Pierson is a Republican representing Texas House District 33, which includes parts of Collin and Rockwall counties. Born on July 20, 1976, in Kansas, she grew up in poverty raised by a single mother and later built a career in healthcare and communications. Notable achievements include her role as a "Founding Mother" of the Tea Party Movement after a viral 2009 speech, serving as national spokesperson for Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and senior advisor in 2020, and frequent media appearances on networks like Fox News and CNN. She assumed office in the Texas House on January 14, 2025, and serves on the Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans' Affairs and Public Health committees. Pierson is a communications executive, entrepreneur with her own public affairs firm, and lives in Rockwall, Texas.
