Biography
Katie J. Muth is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 44th District, which includes parts of Chester, Montgomery, and Berks Counties. First elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022 for her second term, she resides in East Vincent Township, Chester County, with her husband Trevor and two dogs. A passionate advocate known for challenging both parties—calling the Capitol the "dome of corruption"—she fights corporate polluters for clean air, water, and land, pushes for transparency in judicial appointments and funding, and supports veterans and families. Notable achievements include sponsoring Senate Bill 1286 , raising National Guard pay from $100 to $180 per day, and serving as a trustee on the Pennsylvania School Employees Retirement System, where she pursued withheld documents.
