Biography
Kate Murray is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham District 22. She has served in this role since 2016 and resides in New Castle, New Hampshire. Married with two children, she previously lived in Newport, Vermont. Notable positions include service on the New Castle Planning Board and Historic District Commission, board membership with the Portsmouth Historical Society and Portsmouth Athenaeum, and involvement with the Piscataqua Regional Board of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. She has also worked as a columnist for the Portsmouth Herald, software trainer at Frame Technology, and music educator.
Education and Political Experience
Education: PhD in Psychology of Music from the University of Illinois; PhD in Theology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Political Experience: Elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives for Rockingham 22 in 2016 and serving continuously since then. Her legislative office is located at the State House in Concord, New Hampshire.
