Biography
Karrie Kristine Delaney is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing District 9 in western Fairfax County, encompassing areas like Bull Run, Centreville, Chantilly, and Greenbriar. First elected in 2017 to the then-67th District by defeating Republican incumbent Jim LeMunyon , she has served continuously since 2018, chairing the Transportation Committee and serving as Minority Whip since 2022. Notable achievements include bipartisan legislation protecting abuse survivors and combating human trafficking, expanding healthcare access, capping insulin costs, and ending surprise medical billing. Previously a Republican on the West Melbourne, FL City Council , she is a communication consultant, mother, Catholic, and community leader involved in emergency preparedness, libraries, and youth commissions.
