Biography
Karl Gibbs is a Democratic representative for Mississippi House District 36, covering parts of Clay and Monroe Counties, including school districts such as Aberdeen, Amory, Nettleton, and West Point. A native of Clay County, he has served in the Mississippi House of Representatives since 2013. He works as a police officer, real estate owner and manager, and previously served as a mental health counselor at Community Counseling Services. Gibbs serves on committees including Agriculture, Military Affairs, Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks, Youth and Family Affairs, and Energy. He is also a member of the American Legion, enjoys hunting and fishing, and lives with his wife Sonya and son Karl.
