Biography
Karen Gonzalez Pittman is a Republican representing Florida House District 65 . A third-generation Tampanian and lifelong Hillsborough County resident, she was first elected to the Florida House in 2022 and reelected subsequently, with terms through 2030. Born in Tampa, she is a Catholic, married to Dr. C. Christopher Pittman for 25 years, with four children and two grandchildren . She owns businesses as Vice President of Public Affairs for Vein911 Vein Treatment Centers and Health Performance Specialists, the largest U.S. network of vein care practices. Previously an educator and school evaluator, her family has deep roots in public education—both parents taught in Hillsborough Public Schools .
Education and Political Experience
Education: Graduated from Hillsborough High School; earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's in Measurement, Evaluation & Testing from the University of South Florida.
Political Experience: Elected to Florida House District 65 in 2022 as a Republican; serves on Hillsborough delegation. Community involvement includes Vice President of Dale Mabry Elementary and Wilson Middle School PTAs, President of Hillsborough County Medical Association Alliance, and Board Member of Florida Medical Association PAC. Career spans teaching, Pinellas County Schools' Office of Program Evaluation and Accountability, and Hillsborough County Public Schools' Office of Testing and Evaluation.
