Biography
Karen Ebel is a Democratic representative for Merrimack 7 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Born in Ossipee, NH, she resides in New London, NH, is married, and has two children. An attorney, she has served continuously since 2012, initially elected for Merrimack 5 . Notable positions include Minority Leader Pro Tempore , Deputy Speaker , and ranking member of the Special Committee on Commissions. She serves on committees such as Public Works and Highways, Rules, Finance , and Merrimack County Delegation Executive Committee . Other roles include Member of the Oil Fund Disbursement Board , New London Hospital Board of Trustees , and Exotic Weeds and Aquatic Invasive Species Committee .

Education: BS in Biology, Trinity College ; JD, Georgetown University Law School .
Political Experience: Elected to NH House in 2012; Democratic Leader Pro Tempore ; Assistant Democratic Leader ; endorsed Cinde Warmington for governor and Amy Klobuchar in 2020 Democratic primary. Community involvement includes former Chair of Public Policy Committee for NH Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, Conservation Commission , Storm Water Commission , and Leadership New Hampshire .
