Kamela T. Smith is a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives, representing District 15 . In a major 2024 upset, she defeated longtime incumbent Speaker Valerie Longhurst in the Democratic primary with Working Families Party endorsement, then won the general election unopposed.
