Biography
Kaela Berg is an American politician and member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party . She represents District 55B in the Minnesota House of Representatives, covering Burnsville in Dakota County, since her election in 2020 and reelection in 2022. A flight attendant for Endeavor Air since 2003, union organizer, and mother of two sons raised in the Burnsville school system, Berg serves as assistant majority leader for the DFL House Caucus. She is vice chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee , and sits on Education Policy, State and Local Government Finance and Policy, and Public Safety Finance and Policy committees. Notable achievements include co-sponsoring legislation to codify reproductive rights in the state constitution, expand affordable health care, fully fund schools, prevent gun violence, and advocate for workers' rights; she is a pro-choice member of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus and supported a temporary gas tax repeal in 2022 amid high prices. In October 2025, she announced her candidacy for Minnesota's 2nd congressional district.
