Kadeem Roberts is the state representative for Connecticut's 137th Assembly District in Norwalk, assuming office on January 4, 2023, after serving as a Norwalk Common Council member. Born and raised in Norwalk, he was elected in 2019 as the youngest African American in Norwalk's history to join the Common Council, where he served on committees including public works, community services, land use, and arts, contributing to noise ordinances and a $360 million city budget. Notable achievements include winning re-election on November 5, 2024; serving as Assistant Majority Leader; and holding Vice Chair of the Housing Committee, with membership on Children, Education, and Judiciary Committees. He currently works as Senior Center Manager at Lakefield Veterinary Group.
