Biography
Kathleen "K.C." Tomlinson is a Republican state representative for Pennsylvania's 18th Legislative District, which includes parts of Bucks County, primarily Bensalem and Hulmeville. A lifelong resident of Bensalem born on September 29, 1988, she was elected in a special election in March 2020 to complete the term of former Rep. Gene DiGirolamo and sworn in on April 6, 2020; she won her first full term in November 2020. Daughter of former state Sen. Robert "Tommy" Tomlinson, she is a third-generation funeral director at the family-owned Tomlinson Funeral Home, established in 1945, and resides in Bensalem with her husband and three dogs. Notable achievements include her committee service on Consumer Protection, Technology & Utilities, Professional Licensure, Gaming Oversight, and Human Services, along with community involvement in the Bensalem Business Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and Bensalem Township Republican Executive Committee.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduate of Bensalem High School; attended local college while assisting at the family funeral home; graduated from Mercer County Mortuary Program in 2014, becoming a licensed funeral director.
- Political Experience: Elected to Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2020 special election ; re-elected to full term in November 2020; serves on five House committees focusing on consumer protection, utilities, licensure, gaming, and human services.
