Representative K.C. Ohaebosim

Kelechi "KC" Ohaebosim is a Nigerian-American Democratic politician representing District 89 in the Kansas House of Representatives, which includes portions of Wichita, Kansas. He has served since 2017, with notable roles including ranking minority member of the Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications Committee.

Born on December 27, 1978, in Owerri, Nigeria, Ohaebosim resides in Wichita, Kansas. Elected in 2016, he replaced Roderick Houston and was reelected without opposition in 2018. In 2017, he voted to override Governor Sam Brownback's veto on a tax package addressing Kansas' budget shortfall. He currently serves on the Social Services Budget Committee and Transportation Committee, and previously on Government, Technology and Security, Judiciary, and Taxation Committees.
