Biography

Justin Humphrey is a Republican representative for Oklahoma House District 19, which includes Choctaw and Pushmataha counties and parts of Atoka and Bryan counties. A lifelong resident of southeastern Oklahoma from Lane, he has a background in law enforcement, business administration, and ranching. Elected in 2017, he currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Public Safety Committee and Appropriations & Budget Judiciary Subcommittee, and is a member of the Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight Committee. Notable positions include prior service on State and Federal Redistricting Committees.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Graduated from Atoka High School; earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in business administration from East Central University. Completed specialized training at Arizona High Intensity Special Training, Correctional Officer Academy at Eastern Oklahoma State College, Probation and Parole Academy at Oklahoma State University, and CLEET Law Enforcement Academy at Stillwater Technology Center.
  • Political Experience: Elected to Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2016 for District 19 . Serves from Room 301, Oklahoma State Capitol.
  • Professional Background: Worked 20 years for Oklahoma Department of Corrections, including as a DARE officer and probation officer on a CERT special response team; vice president of local Fraternal Order of Police chapter. From 2010-2016, owned/operated Last Chance Supervision Services and administered Atoka/Coal County drug court.
