A lifelong resident of Aberdeen, Mississippi, where he was born and raised, Crosby flipped this long-held Republican seat in a special election following redistricting, marking a significant breakthrough for Democrats in rural Mississippi. He works as a logistics manager and business owner, shaped by a hardworking upbringing influenced by his mother, who raised four children as a single parent and prioritized their education. Crosby is married to Renita Crosby since 2018 and has a daughter, Carson Olivia .
