Biography
Junelle Cavero Harnal is a Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 11, serving the communities of South Mountain, Guadalupe, and Laveen alongside Oscar De Los Santos. She was appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and sworn in on April 17, 2024, replacing Marcelino Quiñonez who resigned. Of Filipino descent, she is a mother, small business owner, lifelong community advocate, and experienced political consultant and government affairs specialist. Notable roles include serving as a 2016 Democratic National Convention delegate for Arizona, voting for Hillary Clinton, and working on campaigns like that of congressional candidate Hiral Tipirneni. She ran unsuccessfully for Arizona State Senate in the 2022 Democratic primary against Catherine Miranda and is seeking a full term in District 11.
