Biography
Senator June Robinson is a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate representing the 38th Legislative District, which includes Everett, Marysville, and the Tulalip Reservation. Born June 27, 1959, as June R. Grube Robinson, she grew up on a family dairy farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and has a lifelong commitment to public service. Notable achievements include serving as chair of the Senate Ways & Means Committee and as a member of the Health & Long Term Care Committee; she was appointed to the Senate in May 2020 after serving in the House of Representatives from 2013.
Education and Political Experience
After college, Robinson served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Jamaica for three years as a public health nutritionist and held leadership positions at Migrant Health Promotion, focusing on alleviating health disparities in rural and disenfranchised communities. Politically, she was appointed to the Washington House of Representatives on December 16, 2013, by the Snohomish County Council to fill a vacancy, following an unsuccessful 2012 bid for Everett City Council.
