Biography

Julie Daniels is a Republican Oklahoma State Senator representing District 29, which includes Washington, Nowata, and northern Rogers Counties. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, she has called Bartlesville her adopted hometown since 1988 and was first elected to the State Senate in 2016. She currently serves as Majority Floor Leader and has held leadership roles including Assistant Majority Floor Leader, Chair of the Judiciary Committee, Rules Committee, and Administrative Rules Committee. Notable achievements include authoring legislation to protect the unborn, guard First Amendment rights, advance lawsuit and regulatory reform, champion free markets, and support parental education choice; receiving the ALEC Thomas Jefferson Award; and being named “Alliance State Champion” by Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 2019. A former Mayor of Bartlesville, she served eight years on the City Council, focusing on government reform, water supply, downtown redevelopment, parks, and historic preservation.
