Jules Walters is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 37, which includes Tualatin, West Linn, Durham, Rivergrove, and parts of Lake Grove. First elected in 2022, she previously served as Mayor of West Linn and as a West Linn City Council member. A mother of four living in West Linn with her husband Joe, Walters is a small business owner with a background in communications and journalism; she is pursuing a master’s degree and is active in community organizations supporting public schools, arts, libraries, and small businesses. Notable achievements include streamlining city processes to save taxpayer dollars as mayor, stopping ODOT’s I-205 tolling plan, creating the CHIPS Child Care Fund to support workforce growth, prioritizing public safety and addiction treatment, investing in education, supporting LGBTQ+ students, protecting reproductive freedom and gender-affirming care, and lowering healthcare costs. She currently serves as Co-Vice Chair of the House Committee on Revenue and the Joint Committee on Tax Expenditures, and is a member of the House Committees on Commerce and Consumer Protection and Early Learning and Human Services.
