Biography
Judy Warnick is a Republican state senator representing Washington's 13th Legislative District, which includes all of Kittitas and Lincoln counties, southern Grant County, and part of northern Yakima County. Born on May 28, 1950, in Deer Park, Washington, she grew up on a family dairy farm there and later owned and operated a small business in Moses Lake with her husband, Roy. A steadfast advocate for rural Washington, agriculture, water rights, economic growth, and small businesses, she announced her retirement from the Senate at the end of her current term in January 2027 after two decades of public service. Notable achievements include serving as Senate Republican Caucus Chair and Vice Chair , receiving the 2017 Legislator of the Year from the Association of Washington Business, multiple "Friend of Farm Bureau" awards , and the 2012 Guardian of Small Business Award from the National Federation of Independent Business.
