Biography
Judy Boyle is a Republican representative for Idaho House District 9B, serving since 2008 as an eight-term incumbent rancher and politician from Midvale, Idaho. She is recognized as one of the 100 most influential people in Idaho, with expertise in natural resources, agriculture, and Second Amendment rights, having sponsored many of Idaho's related laws. Notable roles include natural resources director for former Congresswoman Helen Chenoweth, legislative director for the Idaho Farm Bureau, chairman of the Western Legislative Forestry Task Force since 2019, and service on committees for Agricultural Affairs, Resources and Conservation, and Revenue and Taxation. Boyle is a community leader as a 4-H leader, founder supporter of Idaho’s Ronald McDonald House, NICU support parent, and March of Dimes volunteer; she lives on her farm with her son, daughter, and two grandsons.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Attended Lassen Community College, Boise State University, and the University of Idaho.
- Political Experience: Elected to Idaho House District 9 Seat B in 2008 after defeating incumbent Diana Thomas in the primary and general election; won re-elections including 2024 primary and general; ran for Majority Leader against Mike Moyle in 2020; candidate for 2026 primary.
