Biography
Jubilee McGill is a Democratic representative for Addison-5 in the Vermont House of Representatives , serving since 2023. Born and raised in Middlebury, Vermont, she graduated from the Vermont State College system with a degree in business and settled in Bridport in 2016 with her husband Lawrence, where they raise their four children. Drawing from her personal experiences with poverty and homelessness as a young adult, she built a career in nonprofits managing affordable housing and advocating to end homelessness in Vermont; she also chaired the board of a bi-state progressive policy organization and founded Addison County Mutual Aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. Notable positions include Chair of the House Committee on Human Services Advisory Council on Child Poverty and Strengthening Families, and member of the General Assistance Emergency Housing Task Force; she prioritizes equity, community support, affordable housing, worker protections, progressive taxation, universal healthcare, and a Green New Deal.
Education and Political Experience
