ABOUT
Juan Jose Mendez is an Arizona politician and educator. He was first elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2013 and became a member of the Arizona State Senate in 2019. Mendez graduated with a B.A. from Arizona State University in 1974. He taught high school social studies and later worked with non-profit organizations focusing on low-income communities and voter registration efforts. He served on the Tempe Union High School District Governing Board from 1994-2006. Mendez was also elected to the Tempe City Council in 2008.read less
