Delegate Josh Stonko , District 42C, Maryland
Joshua James Stonko is a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 42C in Carroll County. He served from January 11, 2023, until not seeking re-election in 2026, and is assigned to the House Appropriations Committee.
Born in 1992 or 1993, Stonko resides in Hampstead, Maryland. He won the Republican primary for District 42C in 2022 with 68.4% of the vote and was elected in November 2022. A notable achievement includes being one of three Republican delegates in February 2026 to support a bill prohibiting investor-owned utilities from using ratepayer dollars for employee bonuses and supervisor compensation. He endorsed small business owner Steve Patten as his successor and previously ran unsuccessfully for District 5 in 2014 and 2015. Past roles include president of the Carroll County Young Republicans.

- Professional Experience: Worked in financial services, including Business Banking Relationship Manager and Senior Vice-President/Sales Manager at PNC Bank ; Vice-President/Commercial Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Baltimore . Received PNC Circle of Excellence Award .
- Political Experience: Sworn into House of Delegates ; serves on Appropriations Committee, including Public Safety and Administration Subcommittee, Oversight Committee on Pensions, and Joint Committee on the Management of Public Funds.
