Biography
Josh McLaurin is a Democratic member of the Georgia State Senate representing District 14, which covers portions of north Fulton County including Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns Creek, Atlanta, and Alpharetta. A Georgia native from Cobb County, he works as an attorney specializing in business litigation and aviation law. Elected to the Senate in 2022 and sworn in January 2023, he previously served two terms in the Georgia House of Representatives starting in 2019. Notable positions include Secretary of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Military, and Homeland Security, and member of the Senate Committees on Economic Development and Tourism, Retirement, and Transportation. In May 2025, he announced his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor.
