ABOUT
Jose M. Serrano was born October 24, 1943 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. His family moved to the South Bronx when he was seven years old. He attended local public schools and went on to study at Saint Francis College and Lehman College. In 1969, Mr. Serrano began his political career as a Member of the New York State Assembly, where he served until being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives fifteen years later in 1990. He has represented New York's 15th congressional district over the past 25+ years.read less
