Biography
Jordan D. Teuscher is a Republican representative for Utah House District 44, covering a portion of Salt Lake County. Born on May 1 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he works negotiating complex legal agreements for the Church. He is recognized as a 2024 Defender of Liberty and 2024 Business Champion for protecting life, liberty, and individual rights. Teuscher coaches local sports teams, volunteers as a substitute teacher, and serves his community.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Attended Welby Elementary, Elk Ridge Middle School, Bingham High School, and Riverton High School. Earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in political science/philosophy from Brigham Young University , where he served as president of the BYU Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity and won Utah PBL Public Speaking Champion three times . Graduated with honors from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School, with experience in constitutional law and international legal reform.
Political Experience: Began involvement at age 17 as a state delegate; served as state and county delegate, BYU Republican Party Club member, and legislative intern to the Utah House Majority Leader. Elected to Utah House in 2020; serving since 2021. Appointed to House Leadership in 2023; Vice-Chair of House Rules Committee, Chair of House Ethics Committee. Co-chairs Point of the Mountain State Land Authority and Blockchain and Digital Innovation Taskforce. Serves on Business, Economic Development, and Labor Sub-appropriation Committee; House Political Subdivisions, Business and Labor, Transportation, and Natural Resources committees. Represents Utah on the Uniform Law Commission.
