Biography
Jonathan Carroll is a Democrat who represented the 57th District in the Illinois House of Representatives from 2017 until his resignation in early 2024. The district includes parts of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Glencoe, Glenview, Mount Prospect, Northbrook, Northfield, Riverwoods, Wheeling, Wilmette, and Winnetka. A certified Special Education Teacher and Special Needs Advocate, he focused on supporting individuals with ADHD, executive functioning issues, and learning challenges. He served on the Portes Foundation Board of Directors, providing grants for medical and life-sciences research, and resides in Northbrook with his wife Katrina and two children, belonging to Temple Beth El.
