Biography
Jon Hawkins
Jon Hawkins is a Republican representative serving Utah House District 55, which encompasses Pleasant Grove. He was first elected to the Utah House in 2018, filling the seat vacated by Rep. Brian Greene, and is currently serving his second term in the legislature.
Hawkins and his family settled in the Apple Grove community of Pleasant Grove approximately 15 years ago. He has established himself as a prominent voice in Utah state government through various leadership roles and committee assignments.
Education
Hawkins earned a *Master of Business Administration * from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, graduating in 2010 with an emphasis in marketing and organizational strategy.
Political Experience
Hawkins began his legislative service in 2019 and holds several significant positions within the Utah House of Representatives:

- Member of the House Business and Labor Committee
- Member of the Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee
- Member of the House Ethics Committee
- Member of the Occupational and Professional Licensure Review Committee
- Co-chair of the Utah Digital Wellness, Citizenship, and Safe Technology Commission, which focuses on ensuring that Utah's youth and their parents or guardians use technology safely
Prior to his legislative career, Hawkins worked at Connect Marketing in Provo beginning in 2006.
