Biography
John H. Wills is a Republican state representative serving House District 10 in Iowa, with his hometown in Spirit Lake. Born in 1966 in Sibley, Iowa, where he was raised, he currently resides there with his wife, Camilla, and their two sons and one daughter. He works as an environmental coordinator at the Dickinson Soil and Water Conservation District and is a retired Army National Guard veteran with 25 years of service, including overseas deployments, retiring on January 12, 2015. Notable achievements include election as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Iowa House in 2020, prior roles as House Assistant Leader and Majority Whip , and service on committees such as Legislative Council, Administration and Rules, Commerce, Higher Education, Judiciary, Public Safety, Ways and Means, Agriculture, Appropriations, Economic Growth, Education, and Veterans Affairs. He is involved in organizations like the Okoboji Protective Association, Pheasants Forever, State Pheasants Forever Council, Friends of Lakeside Lab, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
