Biography
John Waldron is a former American politician and educator who served as a Democratic member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives for District 77 from 2018 until his resignation on April 16, 2026. A longtime social studies teacher at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa since 1999, he focused on education reform, including legislation in 2023 to raise pay for school support staff earning under $80,000 by 20%. He held leadership roles such as Minority Caucus Vice Chair , Minority Caucus Secretary , and Assistant Minority Floor Leader , and briefly chaired the Oklahoma Democratic Party from June to December 2025. Waldron is married to Krista with one child, Van. His tenure ended amid allegations of past misconduct.
