Biography
John Pfeiffer is a Republican representative for Oklahoma House District 38, which includes all of Grant County and parts of Garfield, Kay, Logan, and Noble counties. A lifelong Logan County resident from Orlando, he is a fifth-generation rancher raising Angus cattle on his family farm, where he lives with his wife, Sierra, and their son. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served from 2009 to 2014, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2011, and currently serves as Majority Deputy Floor Leader , with committee roles including Vice Chair of Energy and Natural Resources Oversight, Appropriations and Budget, and others. Notable achievements include authoring legislation to remove discriminatory housing covenants from property records , advocating for rural highways, county roads, bridges, schools, agriculture, lower taxes, and less regulation to protect Oklahoma values and small businesses.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduate of Mulhall-Orlando High School, where he was active in 4-H and FFA; his parents were educators and ranchers.
- Political Experience: First elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2014; re-elected through at least 2026; leadership as Majority Deputy Floor Leader; key committees include Appropriations and Budget , Rules, Utilities, and Joint Committee on Appropriations and Budget; ran for Labor Commissioner emphasizing job protection, workforce growth, and conservative policies.
