Biography
John F. McKeon is a Democratic politician representing New Jersey's 27th Legislative District in the State Senate, covering areas including West Orange, Maplewood, and Madison in the western portion of Essex County. Elected to the Senate in November 2023 after defeating Republican Michael D. Byrne, he previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2002 to 2024, holding leadership roles such as Parliamentarian , Deputy Speaker , Majority Whip , Assistant Majority Leader , and Assistant Majority Whip .
