Representative John Martin

John Martin is a Republican representing District 44 in the Missouri House of Representatives, which covers part of Boone County. His hometown is Columbia. Outside of his legislative duties, Martin is the owner of Pro Pumping and Hydrojetting, LLC. He has a background in community leadership, having served as a pastor in Hallsville and Columbia. Martin is actively involved in his community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Boone County Farm Bureau. He volunteers with 4-H and FFA programs, coaches little league baseball, and organizes the Back the Blue Back the Flag Rally. He is married to his wife, Lisa, and they have four children.

Education

Martin holds a degree in Political Science and Economics from Southwest Baptist University. He also earned a Master of Theology degree from Midwestern Baptist Seminary.

Political Experience

Martin was elected to his first two-year term in November 2024. He serves in the 103rd General Assembly. His committee assignments include Elementary and Secondary Education, Economic Development, Subcommittee on Appropriations - Education, and Budget.
