Biography
John M. Rogers is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 60th District in Lake County, which includes communities such as Eastlake, Fairport Harbor, Grand River, Lakeline, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Painesville, Timberlake, Wickliffe, Willoughby, Willowick, and parts of Mentor and Painesville Township. Born on July 14, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, he resides in Mentor-on-the-Lake with his wife Rosemarie and their four children: Tim, John, Caitlin, and Michael. Currently, he serves as Executive Director of the Lake County Land Reutilization Corp. and works as an attorney. Notable prior roles include mayor of Mentor-on-the-Lake for 18 years, city councilman for five years, Lake County deputy treasurer, and assistant prosecutor. He was first elected to the Ohio House in 2012 after being selected by the party central committee, defeating Republican Lori DiNallo with 55.47% of the vote, and was re-elected in 2014, 2016, and 2018, serving until December 31, 2020.
