John Kolb is a Republican state senator representing District 12 in the Wyoming Senate since January 4, 2021. A businessman and president of Alpha Petroleum Service, Inc., he previously served two four-year terms as Sweetwater County Commissioner, where he increased county reserves from $17 million to over $53 million during economic challenges. Married to Elvira with four children—including two sons who served as Marines—he is a master electrician, holds four Wyoming DEQ testing certificates, and is a 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

• Education: Attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, studying aeronautical engineering.
• Political Experience: Elected to Wyoming Senate District 12 in 2020, defeating incumbent Democrat Liisa Anselmi-Dalton; serves on committees including Joint Committee on the Judiciary , Joint Journal Committee , Wyoming Transportation Commission Liaison , and Senate Committee on State Shooting Complex Oversight Task Force.
