John Christopher Harabedian , a Democrat, represents California's 41st Assembly District, which includes cities such as Bradbury, Claremont, La Cañada Flintridge, La Verne, Monrovia, Pasadena, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, and portions of Hesperia, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. Born and raised in Sierra Madre, he is an attorney, former mayor of Sierra Madre, chair of the California Acupuncture Board, husband, and father of three living in Pasadena. Notable achievements include leading Sierra Madre’s solar energy initiative to power the city, co-founding the Clean Power Alliance for regional renewable energy, and reducing homelessness through local partnerships. He serves on committees such as Co-Chair of the Select Committee on Housing Finance and Affordability, and member of Select Committees on Climate Innovation and Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Housing Construction Innovation, Reproductive Health, Sea Level Rise and the California Economy, and Wildfire Prevention; as well as standing committees including Insurance, Transportation, Public Safety, Judiciary, and Utilities and Energy. He won his Assembly seat in 2024 with 58.5% of the vote and previously ran unsuccessfully for Los Angeles County Supervisor in District 5 and considered a state Senate bid.

• Professional Experience: Prosecutor at Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office; attorney at Latham & Watkins, Stanford’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, and Equality Pro Bono Project; CORO Fellow contributing to labor and municipal policy with AFSCME District Council 36 and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s office; policy analyst and board member of the Immigration Resource Center of San Gabriel Valley.
• Political Experience: Sierra Madre City Councilmember , re-elected 2016, served twice as Mayor; California State Assemblymember for District 41 .
