Biography
John L. Gannon is a Democratic member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 17A . Born in Ross, California, he is a longtime Boise resident, attorney, and politician who has served in the legislature from 1990-1992 and 2012-present. Notable achievements include directing the New York Irrigation District to release 400 homes from taxes, earning a 1994 Outstanding Service Award from the State PTA, sponsoring HB 575 , supporting Idaho Launch Scholarships for over 100 district students, advocating for education funding, property tax fairness, grocery tax repeal, voting rights, medical access, and state employee pay adjustments, and intervening in water quality and rate cases for Boise Bench.
