John Damoose is a Republican state senator representing Michigan's 37th Senate District, which includes Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and parts of Chippewa and Mackinac counties. Born on February 5, 1972, in Alexandria, Virginia, he resides in Harbor Springs with his wife Margo and their four children: Reagan, Lydia, John, and Henry. A media producer and conservative leader, Damoose was elected to the Senate in 2022 after serving in the Michigan House for the 107th District from 2020.
