John Louis Corbett is a Republican representing District 174 in the Georgia House of Representatives, based in Lake Park. Born on September 23, 1962, in Echols County, Georgia, he is a lifelong resident of the area . He serves as Chairman of the Motor Vehicles Committee. Corbett is married to Rebecca for 29 years; they have one daughter, Audrey Corbett Hughes, son-in-law Jeffery Hughes, and granddaughter Kenzie Anne Hughes, all in Echols County. Previously an electrician at a Clyattville paper mill , he co-owns Corbett Electric and Construction Co. and operates as a timber farmer. He is a deacon, church clerk/treasurer, and Sunday school teacher at Sardis Baptist Church, a member of the Echols County Lions Club, an avid hunter/fisherman and NRA member, and a former coach for girls' softball.
