Biography
John Marshall Blust is a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 62 in Guilford County. An attorney and accountant, he was appointed to the seat in September 2024 following John Faircloth's resignation and is set to face Democrat Marjorie Benbow in the next election. Notable for his conservative stances, Blust has consistently advocated for lower taxes, less regulation, gun rights, and pro-life policies, earning top ratings from Civitas and NRA endorsements. He served as co-chair of the Judiciary Committee and is known as a principled limited-government conservative, often clashing with party leadership.
