Biography
John Clifford Blanton is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 92 since January 2017. A retired Kentucky State Police Major specializing in drug enforcement and investigations, he lives in Salyersville and is affiliated with the Magoffin County Cattle Association. Notable achievements include the FBI Recognition Award for Investigations, U.S. Department of Justice Public Service Award, and serving as one of five managers in the 2026 impeachment trial of Judge Julie Goodman. He chairs the House Transportation Committee and is a Baptist businessman with Morehead State University education.
